The writing and the phrasing of events, the visual world (12 iterations to land the right mood), the multilingual layer for comfortable reading, and the engine itself, which brings it all to the screen.
The aim of this episode is to let the reader get a feel for the controls, meet a character or two, and then follow the increasingly intricate threads with confidence and ease in what comes next. In essence, it lays the foundations — of both the story and the technology.
